I'm lafa2k, an Architect and Game Designer.
I’ve been modding games as a hobby for over 25 years,most time GTA modding scene and later developing custom servers and mods for the FiveM (GTA RP) community.
My history with Silkroad Online goes back to 2005/2006 on the Greece server, where I made my first true online friends. SRO was the best game I've ever played and I've never had an online experience quite like it. I recently re-encountered SRO while studying assets and materials for a Roblox project, which made me want to apply my architecture and game design expertise to Silkroad modding.
What I've developed / am currently working on in SRO:
- phBot Scripts: Automation scripts to streamline and optimize gameplay. I've built a Command Center, I'm currently finalizing an Auto Quest script, and I'm developing an Auto Dungeon script with multi-role support for an 8-bot party (handling safer positioning and roles for fragile classes like Clerics).
- Blender & 3D: Studying various open-source GitHub scripts and actively importing native SRO maps and 3D objects into Blender based on my project needs.
What I need now (Server-side):With client-side asset handling underway, I now need to focus on the server-side architecture. I'm setting up a home dev lab to test custom maps, 3D models, mechanics, and events. If my testing is successful, I plan to share the resulting mods publicly with the community.
The old Cap 90 files I previously tested are too limited for modern content??? i dont know. I'm looking for recommendations or shared updated server filesets (containing at least Baghdad maps or newer) strictly for local development and testing.
If anyone can point me toward a solid updated base for server-side testing, I'd appreciate it.
